Professional, friendly and thorough!

I am writing this review on behalf of my mother-in-law who was a patient of Dr.Galiani's in 2022. She recently passed away on March 13, 2024, but I and my husband wish to share her wonderful experience with Dr. Galiani. My mother-in-law was in the late stages of Alzheimer's when she developed a cataract in each eye. She was 86. Having the compassion, understanding, knowledge, and expertise anyone would wish their physician to have, Dr. Galiani personally spoke with the insurance company to have both of her eyes done on the same day. He did this because he knew how difficult it was for my husband and I to physically bring my mother-in-law anywhere in the community as we were her ONLY caregivers. He also knew undergoing one procedure would be less taxing on my mother-in-law with regard to her healing and subsequent care. My mother-in-law was unable to verbally communicate. She could not answer any of the doctor' questions. She was incapable of following any of his directives during her examination. Dr. Galiani found the task to be challenging, yet he prevailed. With all of his aforementioned qualities and abilities, Dr. Galiani collected the information he needed to perform the procedure and did so successfully. He gave my mother-in-law her sight back. Being able to see allowed my mother-in-law to have a better quality of life. She was able to walk properly, climb stairs (all with assistance), and to see her family around her which provided the comfort and stimulus she required daily. Dr. Galiani did not give up on my mother-in-law. He was not dismissive of her because of her age and debilitating disease. He was a gentleman. He was sincere. He was respectful; Dr. Galiani was and is a healer. We shall be forever grateful for our experience with him and his staff.
